A vacancy has arisen within our Day Nursery for a Nursery Nurse (Baby Unit).

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of a professional childcare staff team with children aged 4 months to 18 months old.

Applicants must have the ability to build good relationships with children and their parents, and the skills to plan and deliver stimulating age-appropriate activities.  They must be able to work as part of a cohesive team, providing a safe and nurturing environment to meet the individual needs of the children in their care.

Duties include planning around the statutory framework for the EYFS, report writing and record keeping, and candidates should have an understanding of Ofsted National Standards.

The qualifications required are NNEB, BTEC 3, NVQ level 3, DCE or equivalent.  Experience with babies is essential, as well as previous experience in a nursery environment.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday and based on a 3 shift rota:
       7.45am – 4.15pm       8.50am – 5.20pm          9.45am – 6.15pm

Working with children involves unavoidable manual handling activities and employees receive a training session covering manual handling.
