| The new Olympus EVIS LUCERA SPECTRUM 1080i HDTV video system offers outstanding image quality as well as two Image Enhanced Endoscopy by Optical-Digital methods, Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) and Auto Fluorescence Imaging (AFI). |
NBI utilises the inherent properties of short wavelength light to enhance the contrast between capillaries and the surrounding mucosa, improving visualisation of the mucosal surface and aiding diagnosis. The high-resolution CCD incorporated into the Olympus BF-6C260 bronchovideosope ensures optimal image quality in both white light and NBI modes. |

Thanks to a dedicated high-sensitivity CCD, the Olympus BF-F260 autofluorescence bronchovideoscope can detect the autofluorescence generated by healthy tissue when excited by short wavelength light in AFI mode. Malignant lesions, on the other hand, have a much-reduced autofluorescence. By displaying this difference as distinct colour tones on the monitor, it is possible to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy tissue for early detection of lesions. |
All LUCERA bronchoscopes feature:
- Ultra-compact CCDs for high performance imaging
- Scope ID function that retains individual scope information in the memory chip and displays it on the monitor
- Ergonomically designed grip nodes to enhance torque transmission and scope manoeuvrability.
- 2-way angulation (1800 up/1300 down)
- Longer 600mm insertion tubes to allow examination of peripheral areas
