Olympus offers a full line-up of retrieval devices for any clinical situation, including the removal of foreign bodies encountered during gastroscopy or colonoscopy.
 
PolyGrab
The latest addition to the Olympus range of grasping forceps is this single-use design, having tripod jaws with ringed tips to minimize tissue damage.
   
   
Optimized for polyp and foreign body retrieval, the Polygrab is supplied sterile for single-use with convenience and efficiency.
The Polygrab’s grasping section incorporates wide opening prongs to ensure excellent retrieval capability.
PolyGrab, model FG-600U, is compatible with instruments having channels of 2.8mm and above and is suitable for upper and lower GI use.
Reusable Grasping Forceps
A complete range of different jaw types for upper and lower GI retrieval applications.  Constructed from easy-to-clean materials, the majority of these instruments can be reprocessed by ultrasonic cleaning and autoclave sterilization.
Alligator jaws
Suitable for retrieving articles of complex shape.  Supplied with a PTFE outer sheath, providing electrical insulation.  Models FG-6L/U for 2.8mm channels and FG-7L/U for 3.7mm channels.  Autoclavable.
Rat tooth jaws
Rat tooth design provides good grasp of soft objects.  Models FG-8L/U (2,8mm channels) and FG-9L/U (3.7mm channels)supplied with a PTFE outer sheath, providing electrical insulation.  Model FG-14P (2.0mm channels) not electrically insulated. Autoclavable.
W-shaped jaws
More pronounced rat tooth provides exceptional grasping power.  Model FG-4L (2.0mm channels).  Autoclavable.
Pelican jaws
Useful for grasping large articles.  There are four types with different length jaws, from 5.5 to 11.5mm.  PTFE insulated for use with electrosurgical devices.  Models FG-10L/U, FG-11L, FG-12L and FG-13L (all 3.7mm channel compatible).
Shark tooth jaws
Larger jaws and rat tooth design makes this instrument useful for collecting flat objects such as coins.  Model FG-32L 2.8mm channels). Autoclavable.
Rat tooth with alligator jaws
Combines features of alligator jaw and rat tooth forceps for grasping difficult-to-hold objects.  Two jaw lengths available, model FG-42L (11.3mm) and FG 47L (14.6mm), both compatible with channels of 2.8mm.  Autoclavable.
Basket type
Useful for collecting round and slippery objects.  Two models available, FG-16L/U with 40mm basket opening, and FG-17K, with 22mm basket opening.  Autoclavable.
Tripod type
For collection of polyps with minimal tissue damage.  Proximal flushing port permits irrigation through internal lumen.  Model FG-45L/U (2.8mm channels).  Autoclavable.
Pentapod type
Equipped with five prongs to collect small tissue samples.  Proximal flushing port permits irrigation through internal lumen.  Model FG-46L/U (2.8mm channels).  Autoclavable.
Rubber tipped jaws
For providing a firm grip on sharp objects such as needles and pins.  Models FG-20P (2.0mm channels) and FG-21L (2.8mm channels).  Autoclavable.
