A variety of products are available from Olympus for effective haemostasis, including the QuickClip2, QuickClip2Long and PolyLoop devices.

QuickClip2
Fast, efficient haemostasis – wherever & whenever required, the new rotatable QuickClip2 from Olympus is the most reliable way to achieve endoscopic haemostasis.
Endoscopic clip-fixing devices are considered the most reliable way to achieve endoscopic hemostasis.  QuickClip2 lets you perform haemostatic clipping almost instantly, providing control of GI bleeding more rapidly than electrosurgical and other hemostatic techniques.  In addition, mechanical haemostasis maintains the integrity of the surrounding tissue.
No preparation or assembly is required before using a clip – just open the sterile pack and it’s ready for use.

With the addition of the new QuickClip2Long to the range of Clips, Olympus has increased both the efficacy and variety to suit individual and clinical preferences.

The QuickClip2Long features all of the benefits of the standard QuickClip2, with the addition of longer jaws for wider opening.  This enables greater haemostasis when clipping areas where tissue is more pliable by allowing more tissue to be gathered together. As can be seen from the graph below, the availability of the shorter clip for tougher tissue proves to also be of benefit.

Five models are available, two for upper GI (HX-201LR-135 & HX-201LR-135L) and three for lower GI (HX-201UR-135 & HX-201UR-135L) including the new purpose designed clip suitable for enteroscopy (HX-201YR-135). All are rotatable for accurate placement and are compatible with endoscopes having channel sizes of 2.8mm and above.
The clip fixing device mechanically compresses blood vessels and mucosal lesions to ensure efficient haemostasis and lower re-bleeding rates.
The clip also provides instant visual feedback during the procedure, which permits more efficient haemostasis.

Quick-Loop
Easy, precise and cost-effective variceal ligation
With QuickLoop, there is no need for an overtube, and multiple ligations can be achieved in a short time.
The transparent distal attachment ensures an optimal view can be obtained throughout the procedure.
The nylon loop ensures a firm and precise ligation with adjustable ligating force.  The nylon loop remains in place for a period of time then leaves the GI tract naturally.

While keeping the endoscope in place at the site of the target lesion, multiple ligations can be performed through the instrument channel, with no re-intubation required.
QuickLoop (model HX-21L) is compatible with upper GI instruments having channel sizes of 2.8mm and above, and the introducer is autoclavable for assured reprocessing.
HX-400U-30 PolyLoop SPU Ligating Device
Endoscopic ligation for prevention of haemorrhage during and after polypectomy
The Olympus single patient use PolyLoop is a convenient and effective device for the prevention of sudden haemorrhage during and after polypectomy and for general haemostasis.   A simple 3-step procedure of snaring, ligating and releasing the loop is all that is required to ensure safe polypectomy with minimal haemorrhage risk.

Ligation and loop release is controlled by sliding the handle, a single-handed operation.  The nylon loop remains in place for a period of time then leaves the
GI tract naturally.  The device is supplied pre-assembled for ease of use in boxed sets containing five pieces.
The PolyLoop is compatible with instruments having channel sizes of 2.8mm and above.
Injector Force Max
A comprehensive range of single-use injection needles, with improved piercing capability.
InjectorForceMax now has an even bigger range to suit all requirements, including a dedicated injection needle for enteroscopy and the addition of a 3mm, 23G lower GI needle
The handle has been improved and incorporates a design that securely locks the needle in place with an audible, tactile ’click’ for both stable and reliable puncture.

The stiffer sheath enables easier insertion and is even more kink resistant than the previous InjectorForce range of needles and thanks to the enlarged inner lumens, injection is easier and lighter resulting in an increased flow speed.
