Olympus EndoJaw single-patient use biopsy forceps and SwingJaw reusable biopsy forceps.
Olympus offers a choice of single-use or reusable biopsy forceps, to suit individual user preference, all designed for maximum performance with compatible Olympus flexible endoscopes.
Olympus EndoJaw
Biopsy forceps for single-patient use
EndoJaw forceps feature a low-friction sheath to assist smooth insertion through the instrument channel.  Improved sheath flexibility also makes it easier to pass the forceps through a scope with acute angulation.  These features, combined with precision-made stainless steel cups, maximise clinical effectiveness while minimising the potential for endoscope damage.

Reliable tissue collection
The EndoJaw has a ’step’ cup design to provide clean tissue collection from the single use forcep.  The alligator jaw, with ’step’ is designed to combine the grip of alligator forceps with the clean cut of traditional forceps.
In addition, the forcep cups pivot to allow easier access to the tissue site from an oblique angle.
Complete product line-up
Whichever endoscope you use, the EndoJaw line-up includes channel compatible models to meet your biopsy needs.  Choose either the traditional smooth, oval cup forceps or alligator forceps, with or without needle.  Whatever your requirements, Olympus forceps are made with quality you can trust.
EndoJaw forceps for the GI tract are available in two colour-coded lengths – 1550mm for upper GI (grey) and 2300mm for lower GI (blue) – and are compatible with either 2.0, 2.8mm or 3.7mm channel sizes.  Four jaw types are available – Standard oval; Standard oval with needle; Alligator jaw-step; and Alligator jaw-step with needle.

Olympus EndoJaw Hot
Single-patient use monopolar hot biopsy forceps
In addition to the standard EndoJaw range, two models of hot biopsy forceps are available, both 2300mm long, one with a Standard oval jaw type, and the other with the Alligator jaw-step type. Both are compatible with channel sizes of 2.8mm and above.
Both models feature the same low-friction sheath and stainless steel pivoting cups for easy tissue targeting.

Olympus SwingJaw
Reusable biopsy forceps
The pivoting cups of the Olympus SwingJaw biopsy forceps enable easier positioning for biopsy sites approached tangentially.  In addition, three models have rotatable jaws, for accurate placement of the cups onto the target site.
Four models, including one with rotatable jaws, are available with a needle in the centre of the jaws to prevent slippage on the tissue.
Alligator and Rat tooth jaws for improved bite
Interlocking teeth provide deep biopsies for consistent tissue collection, resulting in reliable and accurate histology.  The rat tooth design minimizes slippage during difficult tangential biopsies, enabling a more definite diagnosis.
Fenestrated cups are incorporated in each model for larger tissue samples, the hole in each cup minimising tissue damage.
Reliable cleaning and sterilization
Constructed of easy-to-clean materials, the SwingJaw forceps can be reprocessed by ultrasonic cleaning and autoclave sterilization.
Complete product line-up
All SwingJaw forceps have combined Alligator and Rat Tooth jaws - choose from a standard oval cup, elongated oval cup, or elongated cup with needle.  Three lengths are available for GI use: 1550, 1950 and 2300mm, with compatibility with either 2.0, or 2.8mm and above, channel sizes.
