Sphincterotomy
The extensive Olympus line-up of sphincterotomy knives includes both single-use and reusable options, with a variety of features to suit individual choice and clinical application. Olympus EndoTherapy

The most recent innovations from Olympus include the CleverCut design, for improved procedural safety, and the FlowCut triple-lumen range, for increased stability during EST.

CleverCut
The Olympus CleverCut is a single-use sphincterotome with an innovative protection feature and excellent cannulation capability.
Olympus CleverCut
Olympus CleverCut knife wire and plastic coating The CleverCut knife wire has a proximal plastic coating to minimise damage to tissue surrounding the papilla and reduce the risk of contact between the wire and the scope.
To meet individual preferences, the KD-211Q sphincterotome has a precurved distal tip, and the KD-210Q has the standard straight design.  Excellent cannulation ability is achieved by incorporating stiffening wires into two additional lumens of the catheter, to facilitate easy positioning of the knife into the papilla. Olympus CleverCut Straight and Precurved Designs
Both straight and precurved designs are available in the CleverCut range
FlowCut
Both single-use and reusable versions of this innovative, triple-lumen sphincterotome are available, with some models also featuring the CleverCut coating.
Olympus FlowCut

The FlowCut triple-lumen design features completely independent injection, cutting wire and guidewire lumens, making it possible to inject contrast media while keeping the guidewire in place.  At the same time, the configuration of the three lumens stabilises cutting wire orientation to further enhance procedural efficiency.  Olympus FlowCut Triple Lumen
The FlowCut line-up includes four types of triple lumen models for single-use: one with the CleverCut coating (KD-411Q) for a more dependable, accurate cutting; one of the same design, but without the CleverCut coating (KD-401Q); and a tapered tip design, for improved insertion into strictures and minor papilla, available with and without the CleverCut coating (KD-431Q & KD-421Q respectively).  A variety of tip and knife lengths are available for each model.
All knives in this range are compatible with duodenoscopes having channel sizes of 2.8mm and above, with the KD-401Q & KD-411Q being compatible with 0.035" guidewires, and the KD-421Q & KD-431Q with 0.025" guidewires.
The reusable FlowCut range is designed to be ultrasonically cleaned and autoclaved for assured reprocessing, with two models – the KD-301Q with a standard tip, and the KD-321Q with a tapered tip.  Again, a variety of tip and knife lengths are available for each model.
Both models are compatible with duodenoscopes having channel sizes of 2.8mm and above, with the KD-301Q being compatible with 0.035" guidewires, and the KD-321Q with 0.025" guidewires.
KD-6G Standard Range
A further line-up of ten reusable sphincterotomes from Olympus, offering guidewire compatibility and assured reprocessing.
Excellent cannulation capability is provided by incorporating stiffening wires into two additional lumens in the distal part of the sheath, facilitating easy positioning of the knife wire to the papilla.
Olympus FlowCut KD-6G Standard Range
By attaching a sealing assembly at the proximal end, contrast media can be smoothly injected with the guidewire in place.
Distal markings clearly indicate the centre and cutting position of the knife.
A wide choice of tip and knife lengths is available, and all KD-6G models are compatible with duodenoscopes having channel sizes of 2.8mm and above, and 0.035" guidewires.
KD-441Q Needle Knife
For efficient pre-cutting, the KD-441Q single-use, triple-lumen needle knife complements the Olympus range of sphincterotomes.
The triple-lumen design offers excellent insertion capability and outstanding injection performance and the length of the KD-441Q’s needle has been optimised at 5.0mm to ensure maximum efficiency in sphincterotomy.
Olympus FlowCut KD-441Q Needle Knife
The sheath has a tapered tip to ensure smooth insertion into the papilla.  Contrast media can be injected smoothly and quickly, even with a guidewire in place.
The single use design assures sterility and added convenience.
The KD-441Q is compatible with duodenoscopes having channel sizes of 2.8mm and above, and with 0.035" guidewires.
