| Olympus has a range of biopsy forceps with unique sheaths and cups designed specifically to simplify use and improve diagnostic yield in the pancreatic and biliary ducts. |
| |
The double wall construction of these forceps comprises a stainless steel sheath within a PTFE outer sleeve, offering optimal characteristics for pancreatic and biliary duct applications. The low friction properties of the outer sheath permit smooth insertion in the ducts, and the forceps have excellent flexibility to facilitate passage through the curves of the ducts, providing greater control for improved targeting of the biopsy site.
Constructed of easy-to-clean materials, these forceps can be reprocessed by ultrasonic cleaning and autoclave sterilization. |

FB-45Q Single Side Opening with Fenestrated Jaws
Designed to facilitate biopsy when approached tangentially, unilateral action cups are effective for biopsy of tract and cavity organs, especially within stenotic lumen. Fenstrated jaws provide larger specimens for histological analysis. Compatible with duodenoscopes having channels of 2.2mm and above. |

FB-46Q Single Side Opening Rat Tooth with Fenestrated Jaws
Designed to facilitate biopsy when approached tangentially, unilateral action cups are effective for biopsy of tract and cavity organs. Interlocking rat teeth are provided at the end of the cups to give a deep bite for consistent tissue collection for accurate and reliable histology. Compatible with channels of 2.2mm and above. |

FB-39Q & FB40Q Swing Jaw Rat Tooth with Fenestrated Jaws
A new ‘swing’ biopsy cup mechanism automatically positions the cups when the biopsy site is approached obliquely, important when trying to ontain accurate, reliable samples in the narrow lumens of the pancreatic and biliary ducts. The rat tooth design allows deeper samples to be taken. The FB-39Q is suitable for duodenoscopes having 2.2mm channels, and the FB-40Q is designed for use with channel sizes of 2.8mm and above. |
The FB-40Q includes a Luer lock connector for infusion of contrast for radiological confirmation when the forceps are at the target site.
